What is the Junior Optimist Club?

The Treynor Junior Optimists Club is a non-profit high school service club. We meet weekly to discuss new project ideas, meet new people, and enjoy the spirit of service with one another.

Who Can Join?

Any high school freshman, sophomore, junior or senior can join the Junior Optimists!

What Is The Cost To Join?

There is a yearly due of $10.00. If you do not pay your due, you will not be an official member, and you will not be eligible for the scholarship.

Each year in the middle of May, four officers are selected to run the club for the next year. The positions are:

When Do We Meet?

The Junior Optimists meet every Thursday at 7:45 am at Treynor High School. Our meetings are in Room 119 in the new addition of the high school.

How Can I Join?

Just show up at one of our meetings, and we will get you started!

Is There A Scholarship?

Yes! Each year around the time of graduation, before the seniors graduate, the club will pick several recipients for a scholarship of a set amount. Those scholarships will be announced during graduation.
